SALISBURY, Md. – The top-ranked Salisbury University softball team celebrated its graduating seniors in a big way with a doubleheader sweep over its Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) rival, No. 7 CNU. Four home runs, including two by
Abby Mace, powered the Sea Gulls to an 8-4 win over the Captains in Game 1.
Savannah Sheats worked a gem with a two-hit shutout to clinch the sweep with a 2-0 victory in Game 2. The Sea Gulls finished the regular season at 36-2 overall.
Before the game, SU announced that the softball field will be renamed
Margie Knight Sea Gull Softball Stadium after the legendary leader of the program.
