SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University athletic department announced on Tuesday that the football home opener on Saturday, Sept. 16 against No. 14 Johns Hopkins will be a "Gold Rush" game as well as Local Hero Day recognizing local first responders and active/veteran members of the Armed Forces.
The kickoff of the 2023 home opener against the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday at Sea Gull Stadium. The first 3,000 fans will receive a free "Gold Rush" shirt and are encouraged to wear gold to support the Sea Gulls.
In addition, first responders and active/veteran members of the Armed Forces with valid identification can receive two free tickets at the Sea Gull Stadium ticket office.
New ticket prices for the 2023-24 athletic year are $10 for general admission, $7 for non-SU students and SU alumni and $5 for children ages 5-12. Children under five and SU students, faculty and staff (with valid ID) are free.
Ticket sales and Sea Gull Stadium gates will open an hour before kickoff. It is encouraged that fans come early to purchase tickets for the game.
Sea Gull Stadium suite rental is available for the Johns Hopkins game and the rest of the season. Rentals are available for $400 per suite, per contest. For more information, contact
