Scouting Montclair State
The Red Hawks have lost their last two games both being against NJAC opponents. Just last week they lost at home against Kean University 16-13.
Only an extra point away from tying the game and potentially sending it to overtime, those chances were erased when Kean blocked the extra point and returned it all the way for a successful two-point conversion and snagged a 16-13 lead. The Red Hawks tried an onside kick to try and get the ball back, but were unsuccessful and the Cougars succeeded on their conference road trip.
All but one of the Red Hawks games to start the year have been one-possession ball games. They lost at Franklin & Marshall 35-10 in the second game of the season. They opened the season with a 27-26 victory at home against Gettysburg College.
