SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team endured a setback in its first match of the new season, falling to the Sweet Briar Vixens, 5-2, on Saturday morning at the SU Outdoor Tennis Center.
MATCH NOTES
- Gibelle Beaujon posted an easy victory in first singles, dispatching Isabela Guilarte in straight sets (6-4, 6-1).
- Elizabeth Coligan earned the Sea Gulls' other singles win for the day, outlasting Maggie Minton in sixth singles (2-6, 6-2, 6-3).
- Olivia Hall took second singles to a third set before ultimately bowing to Alex Guilarte [6-7 (5-7), 7-5, 6-2].
The Sea Gulls will play one more official match in the fall, hosting Harford Community College on Friday, Nov. 1. First serve from the SU Tennis Center is slated for 2 p.m.
