Men’s Tennis concludes round robin with Stevens

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team wrapped up a weekend round-robin tournament against the Stevens Ducks with nine singles matches on Sunday morning at the SU Indoor Tennis Center.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Christopher Catan finished off a perfect weekend by cruising over Olof Persson (6-4, 6-0). Catan won all three of his singles matches over Saturday and Sunday, plus two doubles tilts.
  • Gurv Suri picked up a straight-sets [7-6 (4), 7-5] win over Samvid Andhare, while Mitchell Desman outlasted Johnny Haase in three sets (7-5, 5-7, 10-8).
  • In all, the Sea Gulls and Ducks squared off in 27 singles matches over the weekend, with Stevens earning a 15-12 edge. Salisbury went 7-1 over eight doubles tilts on Saturday.
UP NEXT
  • The Sea Gulls will play in their first team competition at home against Catholic on Saturday.
  • First serve from the SU Tennis Center is slated for 2 p.m.
