Men’s Tennis handles Shenandoah, 6-3

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team locked down a second straight victory for the weekend with a 6-3 triumph over the Shenandoah Hornets on Sunday afternoon at the SU Indoor Tennis Center.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Sea Gulls took two doubles matches out of three to start the competition. Gianluca Beaujon and Jhayden Pappas rolled to an 8-4 win in first doubles, while in third doubles Mitchell Desman and Aron Bursztyn took care of business, 8-3.
  • The teams split the first four singles matches, with Pappas handling the Hornets' Jovan Cirkovic (6-2, 7-6) in first singles and Caleb Brightman claiming a third-singles win over Dominick Suwak (6-4, 7-5).
  • Salisbury put it away by taking the final two singles matches. Gurv Suri rolled in fifth singles (6-1, 6-0) and Bursztyn breezed through sixth singles (6-4, 6-0).
UP NEXT
  • The Sea Gulls return to action with two more home matchups next Saturday and Sunday.
  • Salisbury welcomes Virginia Wesleyan to town on Saturday at 11 a.m., followed by Goucher on Sunday at 11 a.m.
