Women’s Tennis conquers York (Pa.), 7-2

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team capped a perfect week with its third straight dual-match victory, conquering the York (Pa.) Spartans, 7-2, on Sunday afternoon at the SU Outdoor Tennis Center.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Sea Gulls started strong by winning all three doubles matches. In her first action of the season, Ridgley Lake teamed up with Lily Muir to win third doubles 8-3.
  • Gibelle Beaujon and Olivia Hall took first doubles 8-4, while Hannah Carter and Evelyn Whiteside locked down second doubles by an 8-6 margin.
  • Carter earned the first individual triumph for SU in third singles with a near-perfect 6-0, 6-1 margin over Bri Serruto. Whiteside finished fourth singles soon after with a 6-1, 6-3 win.
  • Katherine Raab won her season debut in sixth singles (6-4, 6-1), and Muir emerged from a marathon second-singles tilt with Hannah Sult as a 5-7, 7-6 (7-4), 11-9 winner.
UP NEXT
  • The Sea Gulls will play a third straight match at home as they welcome Virginia Wesleyan to town on Friday afternoon. First serve is slated for 2 p.m.
