Men’s Tennis takes down Piedmont, 5-4

DEMOREST, Ga. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team returned to its winning ways by besting the Piedmont Lions, 5-4, on Monday afternoon at the Burgen Tennis Courts.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Sea Gulls took a pair of doubles matches to open proceedings. Gianluca Beaujon and Jhayden Pappas captured first doubles by an 8-4 margin, while Aron Bursztyn and Mitchell Desman took third doubles by the same 8-4 line.
  • Gurv Suri scored a quick 6-0, 6-1 win in fourth singles, while Caleb Brightman secured third singles at 6-2, 6-4.
  • After dropping the first set of second singles 3-6, Beaujon bounced back to take set two from Bryce VanOrder 6-4. He then rolled to a 6-0 win in the third set to secure the match for SU.
UP NEXT
  • The Sea Gulls look to make it two in a row on their Georgia trip on Tuesday afternoon at Berry. First serve from Rome, Ga., is slated for 3:30 p.m.
