Men’s Tennis drops tight decision at Berry (Ga.)

ROME, Ga. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team endured a razor-thin setback against the Berry (Ga.) Vikings, falling 5-4 on Tuesday afternoon at the Rome Tennis Center.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Mitchell Desman and Aron Bursztyn earned the Sea Gulls' only doubles win, taking third doubles by an 8-7 (7-0) score.
  • Gianluca Beaujon and Gurv Suri each powered through three-set matches to earn singles victories. Beaujon powered past Diego Lopez (6-4, 2-6, 6-3) in second singles, while Suri (6-2, 3-6, 6-1) overcame Jake Chapman in fourth singles.
  • Russell Willenborg earned SU's only straight-sets singles victory on the day, taking sixth singles 6-4, 6-4.
UP NEXT
  • The Sea Gulls will play their final match of the Georgia swing against Covenant. First serve from Lookout Mountain is slated for 3 p.m.
