Women’s Tennis tripped up at Piedmont

DEMOREST, Ga. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team endured a 7-2 setback at the hands of the Piedmont Lions on Monday afternoon at the Burgen Tennis Courts.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Sarah Cooper and Lily Muir snagged a win in second doubles by taking down Dakota Wilkes and Alyssa McSpadden 8-4.
  • Hannah Carter sweated out a win in fifth singles, defeating Jordan Ballard 7-6 (7-4) in the first set and rolling in the second set, 6-3.
  • Gibelle Beaujon and Evelyn Whiteside took their first and sixth singles opponents, respectively, to a third set, with Whiteside falling in a tight 10-7 tiebreaker.
UP NEXT
  • The Sea Gulls continue their Spring Break run through Georgia with a visit to Berry on Tuesday afternoon. First serve from Rome, Ga., is set for 3:30 p.m.
