Women’s Tennis clipped by Towson

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team put up a good fight against Division I competition but ultimately fell short against the Towson Tigers, 9-0, on Friday afternoon at the SU Outdoor Tennis Center.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Hannah Carter and Evelyn Whiteside faired best in doubles play, taking three games in an 8-3 defeat in third doubles.
  • Gibelle Beaujon rebounded from a 6-1 defeat in the first set of first singles, pushing Mya Spencer past regulation in a 7-5 set-two loss.
  • Olivia Hall challenged Chandre Boshoff in second singles, dropping the first set 6-4 before a 6-1 defeat in set two.
  • Whiteside bounced back from a 6-0 decision in the first set of sixth singles, ultimately bowing in set two 6-4.
UP NEXT
  • The Sea Gulls will head across the bridge to Towson, Md., to face Goucher on Saturday afternoon with first serve set for 1 p.m.
