GREENWOOD, Ind. – Six members of the Salisbury University football program earned placements
on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Academic All-District team, as revealed by the organization on Tuesday.
Mason Fisher, Kilo Mack, Micah Brubaker, Clarke Cheairs, Patrick Sheil, and
Chase Lomax earned the honors.
Fisher, the Westminster, Md. native, earned a 3.63 GPA while playing in all 13 games for the Sea Gulls this season. The physics major tallied 253 total yards and one touchdown on the season.
Mack, the Belcamp, Md. native, earned a 3.70 GPA while playing in all 13 games earning All-NJAC honorable mention with 49 total tackles and two fumble recoveries. The finance major is a part of FMA (Financial Management Association) and has made the dean's list for four semesters.
Brubaker, boasted a 3.96 GPA while posting 747 receiving yards and eight touchdowns which included a school record 206 yards in the season-opening game against Washington & Lee. He earned All-NJAC second-team honors for his efforts this season.
Cheairs, the Myersville, Md. native, holds on to a perfect 4.0 GPA while playing in all 13 games for the Sea Gulls this season. The corporate finance major with a minor in accounting has earned dean's list five times while being a part of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, HALO, Operation Teddy Bear, and the Ramp building project.
Sheil also holds on to a perfect 4.0 GPA. The Fairfax Station, Va. native tallied 41 tackles and two pass breakups in his sophomore season.
Lomax, the Washington Twp, N.J. native, posted a 3.63 GPA while earning All-NJAC second-team honors. The business management major posted 50 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, nine sacks, and one forced fumble in his junior season.
Select athletes from the Academic All-District rolls will now advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, which will be voted upon by CSC members. The first-, second-, and third-team honorees will be revealed on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025.
