SyRus McGowan took home NJAC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time.

Quarterback McGowan (So. – Chestertown, Md.) dominated with his legs in the Sea Gulls' 38-24 Homecoming victory over Kean on Saturday. McGowan ran the ball 12 times for a career-high 157 yards and two touchdowns, including a 62-yard touchdown run on SU's first offensive snap and a 71-yard scoring scamper in the third quarter. McGowan's prowess on the ground opened up the rest of the Salisbury ground attack – the Sea Gulls rushed for 426 yards, with
Dario Belizaire (98),
Mason Fisher (89), and
Andre Matthews (55) putting up big yardage days and finding the endzone once each.
This is McGowan's first general NJAC Offensive Player of the Week award; he was named NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Week five times in 2024.
