MEN'S SEASON RECAP

Salisbury went 6-1 in dual meets during the regular season, winning their final six in a row. The Sea Gulls also won the midseason Yellow Jacket Invitational, besting six other teams and leading wire-to-wire at the Hampton Aquaplex.

The SU men earned their first-ever national ranking in the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Top 25 in December and will enter the NJAC championships slotting 20th in February's poll. The Sea Gulls are also ranked 16th in Swimcloud's championship team rankings with 632.14 points, second only to TCNJ among NJAC programs.

Salisbury placing fourth out of nine teams at the 2024 NJAC Championships, clocking in with 1,052 points and finishing just seven points shy of third-place Rowan (1,057). An NJAC crown would be the first conference title in program history.

After the men's big breakout onto the national scene this midseason, I'm excited to see how we can continue our ascent through the NJAC Championship. More program firsts are on the way, including opportunities for gold medals and invites to NCAAs in March.

I like the work we've done since November, and think we are in motion for the best-ever showing at a championship for a Sea Gull men's squad. If we swim well enough, we should be in contention for something special.

WOMEN'S SEASON RECAP

Salisbury completed an undefeated dual-meet slate - the first in program history - by going 7-0 in head-to-head competition. The Sea Gulls also gained significant experience by finishing second out of eight teams at the midseason Yellow Jacket Invitational at the Hampton Aquaplex.

The SU women cracked the CSCAA Top 25 for the first time in January and clocks in at 24th in February's national poll. The Sea Gulls also slot 19th in Swimcloud's championship team rankings with 590.77 points, the best mark in the NJAC.

Salisbury took second place out of 10 teams at the 2024 NJAC Championships, finishing with 1,032 points to trail only league-champion Mary Washington (1,204). SU will seek to capture its first conference crown in program history.

Our women's team is as united as I've ever seen a program. They have put themselves in a position to execute the best championship weekend in program history. We are deeply unmoved by anything outside of the love this team has for each other.

Led by an irreplaceable senior class, I am excited to see what can happen when we come together and let our culture - humble, hungry Sea Gulls - and hard work speak for itself. The meet should also be a great precursor to the NCAA Championship in March as we look to make some more qualifying cuts and quality athletes to continue their season.
