SALISBURY, Md. – The No. 13 Salisbury University softball program split on day two of the 2025 Margie Knight Classic with a 9-1 win in six innings over The College of New Jersey before falling 8-0 in five innings against No. 20 Tufts University at Henry S. Parker Athletic Complex.
In the win over TCNJ,
Sydney Adolfson continued her dominance in the circle. Adolfson went all six innings, allowing only one earned run along with two strikeouts.
The Sea Gull offense struck first in the bottom of the second off a solo home run from
Emily Stockman. SU had another home run in the third inning when
Carrie Jacoby blasted a three-run home run into right center.
Salisbury added five runs in the sixth inning to end the game early.
Karlie Wolfe singled up the middle with the bases loaded to end the game.
Game One Notes
- Em. Stockman finished with three hits, one RBI, and one run.

Ellen Stockman tallied two hits and two RBIs.
- Jacoby finished with two hits along with her three RBIs.

Emily Challender posted a hit with a walk and two runs, while
Sam Flowers earned an RBI and a run.

Jillian Dawson and
Alayna Gigliotti posted a hit each and combined for three runs.
In the game two loss against Tufts, the Jumbos scored six runs in the first and two in the second to earn the victory. Gigliotti posted the only hit of the game for the Sea Gulls.
Justyce Richard entered the game in relief, earning three strikeouts in four innings of work.
Salisbury hits the road for the first time this season when they travel to Lynchburg on March 19th. Game one of the doubleheader starts at 2:30 p.m.
