Bromwell joins DeFazio on prestigious Tewaaraton Award Watch List

First Sea Gull duo picked in the same season since 2008

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The point leader across all three NCAA divisions adds another feather to his cap as senior midfielder Brice Bromwell of the second-ranked Salisbury University men's lacrosse team joined the 2025 Tewaaraton Award Watch List as a second-round addition, announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon.

The Woolford, Md. native is on a historic pace through 10 games, headlining a loaded Sea Gull offensive group with 65 points on 31 goals and 34 assists. Bromwell has recorded six or more points in eight of 10 appearances in 2025, including seven of SU's last eight contests.

Bromwell is knocking on the door of program history, sitting nine goals and 11 points away from entering the team's top 10 in each category. His 34 assists come while turning the ball over just eight times, good for a wildly efficient 4.25 assist-to-turnover ratio.

The veteran scorer joins John DeFazio on the watch list for the top honor across collegiate lacrosse, awarded to the best men's and women's player across the NCAA each May. The duo becomes the first Sea Gull pair to hold simultaneous spots on the list since the 2008 campaign when Matt Hickman '08 and Kylor Berkman '09 were both named to the initial group of 51.

The two Sea Gull standouts hold two of just four spots claimed by non-Division I student-athletes on the list of 68, joining Division II Adelphi's Dylan Renner and Jack Regnery of Tufts in the esteemed group of the nation's top talent. The field will be narrowed to 25 nominees from on or off the current watch list on April 17 before the recipients are announced live on May 29th at the Tewaaraton Ceremony in Washington, D.C.

The Sea Gulls host their annual Youth Day on Saturday, March 29th against the Kean University Cougars at 1 p.m. with a post-game autograph session for all local youth athletes in attendance. Tickets are available for purchase online with free admission to fans aged 12 and under.
