No. 30 Men’s Tennis outmaneuvers F&M, 6-1

SALISBURY, Md. – The 30th-ranked Salisbury University men's tennis team won its 10th dual match of the season, outmaneuvering the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats on Sunday afternoon at the SU Outdoor Tennis Center.
 
MATCH NOTES
  • The Sea Gulls snagged the doubles point by winning the second and third doubles fixtures. Gianluca Beaujon and Mitchell Desman muscled their way to a 6-3 margin in second, while Aron Bursztyn and Gurv Suri clinched the tally 6-2 in third.
  • Asher Willenborg bounced back in first singles by sweeping Luke Brodsky (6-2, 6-2), while Jhayden Pappas (6-4, 6-1) and Suri (6-3, 6-4) also won in straight sets in second and third singles, respectively.
  • Beaujon battled to a 7-5, 6-3 victory in fourth singles. In fifth, Nicholas O'Dea sweated out a marathon win over Jack Gelman, winning 5-7, 7-5, 1-0 (10-2).
 
The Sea Gulls will next battle Hardin-Simmons in a neutral match at Christopher Newport University on Saturday, with first serve from Newport News, Va., marked for 2 p.m.
