SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team came up on the short end of a matinee against the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats, falling 6-1 on Sunday afternoon at the SU Outdoor Tennis Center.
MATCH NOTES
- The Sea Gulls dropped all three doubles matches. Lily Muir and Evelyn Whiteside faired best in second doubles, pushing their Diplomat duo to 6-4.
- Gibelle Beaujon earned SU's only point of the day in first singles, besting Jenna Harrison in straight sets (6-1, 6-3).
- Ridgley Lake powered through a marathon match in fifth singles, coming up just short in a 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (11-9) decision.
The Sea Gulls will have a week before their next match on Sunday at York (Pa.), with first serve marked for 1 p.m.
