SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team celebrated lone senior
Lily Muir in style with a 7-0 Senior Day romp over the Stevenson Mustangs on Sunday afternoon at the SU Outdoor Tennis Center.
MATCH NOTES
- Lily Muir teamed up with Gibelle Beaujon to pick up a 6-1 win in first doubles, while Olivia Hall and Evelyn Whiteside (6-1) in second doubles and Ridgley Lake and Katherine Raab (6-3) in third doubles assured the Sea Gulls of the first point.
- Muir also earned a straight-sets victory in first singles, dispatching Shelby Carter 6-2, 6-4.
- Whiteside (6-0, 6-1), Lake (6-1, 6-1), and Raab (6-4, 6-2) each completed the daily double with easy wins in second, third, and fourth singles, respectively.
- Elizabeth Coligan (6-1, 6-1) breezed through fifth singles, and Denise Yongbi (6-0, 6-0) posted a perfect mark in sixth singles to complete Salisbury's perfect day.
The Sea Gulls will play their final match of the regular season at home against No. 41 UC Santa Cruz on Thursday, with first serve from the SU Tennis Center slated for 3 p.m.
