SALISBURY, Md. – After locking down a fifth consecutive Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Championship, the seventh-ranked Salisbury University women's lacrosse team got some more good news, garnering three major honors in the C2C postseason awards as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon.
Audrey Harrington and
Abby Fleishell were recognized as the league's best, garnering Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year honors, respectively. Head coach
Jim Nestor was also named the C2C Coach of the Year after another strong season at the program's helm.
Harrington, a junior from Ellicott City, Md., has tallied a team-high 66 points on 29 goals and 37 assists this season while leading the C2C in helpers in 2025. The Mount Hebron product tallied six points across SU's wins over Warren Wilson and CNU in the conference tournament to further boost her career-best totals in every major statistical category.
Fleishell, a junior from Sykesville, Md., leads the Sea Gulls in both ground balls (38) and caused turnovers (31) while trailing only teammate
Julianna Ott in draw controls (54) in 2025. The Century product has caused 1.72 turnovers per game, ranking fifth in the C2C to bolster a Sea Gull scoring defense (8.0) that leads the C2C and ranks 34th nationally entering the tournament.
Nestor collects the Coach of the Year honor for the 17th time in his
IWLCA Hall of Fame career, winning the 23rd conference title in program history and making a 22nd consecutive NCAA DIII tournament to bring his career record to 499-100-1. His win total ranks second all-time in Division III women's lacrosse history, just one win away from becoming the third coach in the sport's history across all three divisions to eclipse 500 career wins.
The Sea Gulls begin the chase for the fifth national championship in program history this weekend at Sea Gull Stadium. Saturday pits 19th-ranked Haverford against St. Mary's (Md.) in a first-round rumble at noon with the winner advancing to face the seventh-ranked Sea Gulls on Sunday at 1 p.m.
