GREENWOOD, Ind. – Record-setting middle blocker
Gwen Eustace of the Salisbury University volleyball team added one last new accomplishment to her Sea Gull pedigree on Tuesday, earning
College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Second-Team Academic All-America honors.
Eustace (Sr. – Olney, Md.) becomes the 54th Academic All-American in Salisbury Athletics history and its first of the 2025-26 academic year. She is also the volleyball program's fourth-ever Academic All-American and its first since 2016 (
Katie Stouffer).
A Fine Arts major with concentration on painting, Eustace boasts a 3.96 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) and has been one of Sea Gull volleyball's most recognizable volunteers in the community. She is a member of the Zeta chapter of the Chi Alpha Sigma student-athlete honor society, and back home she has volunteered at community father-daughter dances and worked to support the athletic booster club of alma mater Sherwood High School.
Eustace completed a historic 2025 season on the way to leading SU to a 29-7 record and fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Her .511 hitting percentage led all three levels of the NCAA and is the highest-documented single-season swing rate in Division III since 1994. She clocked in with 436 kills (3.35 K/S) and 129 blocks (0.99 B/S) while earning a plethora of postseason awards, including American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) First-Team All-American and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Offensive Player of the Year.
The Academic All-America teams were voted upon by the CSC membership; the complete three-team roster holds a collective GPA of 3.88 on a 4.00 scale. Eustace had previously been recognized as CSC Academic All-District on three occasions.
