Track & Field boasts program records on day one of Patriot Games

FAIRFAX, Va. – The Salisbury University men's and women's track and field programs traveled to Fairfax, Va., for day one of the Patriot Games Friday night inside George Mason University Fieldhouse. The Sea Gulls battled multiple Division I programs and saw two school records fall for Anna Bodmer and Austen Cave.

Day One Meet Notes Women
  • Bodmer blistered the school record in the 5000-meter run by 20 seconds, posting a time of 17:35.60, which placed her 2nd. Bodmer was the first collegiate finisher and bested Division I runners from American, Richmond, and Johns Hopkins. Her time sits 22nd in the country for Division III.
  • Madi Sisson and Madison McCurry placed 14th and 15th, respectively. Sisson earned a time of 19:16.86, while McCurry tallied a time of 20:13.26.
Day One Meet Notes Men
  • Cave also posted his school record in the 5000-meter run with a time of 15:03.73, which placed him 10th. His time sits 51st in the country for Division III.
  • Tristan Dutton notched a personal best time of 15:25.15 for 16th place and helped him crack the top-100 in the country for Division III at 96th.
  • Gabe Riling also posted a personal best at 15:33.13 in 22nd place. Landon Lewicki finished just behind in 23rd with a time of 15:38.34.
  • Seth Barron rounded out the Sea Gulls with a personal best of 15:56.71 in 28th place.
The Sea Gulls are right back in action tomorrow for day two of the Patriot Games from George Mason University Fieldhouse at 10 a.m.
