Track & Field posts three program records on day two of Patriot Games

FAIRFAX, Va. – The Salisbury University men's and women's track and field programs traveled to Fairfax, Va., for day two of the Patriot Games Saturday inside George Mason University Fieldhouse. The Sea Gulls battled multiple Division I programs and saw three more school records fall after having two yesterday. 

Day Two Meet Notes Women
  • Karia Forvil posted a school record in the 60-meters with a time of 7.79, while going on to earn 4th place as the lone Division III runner. Her time sits 30th in the country for Division III. Forvil also earned 4th in the 200-meter with a time of 26.14.
  • Emma Smyser tallied a 4th-place finish in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:00.50.
  • Mia Hill grabbed third in the long jump at 5.59 meters (18-04.25), which places her 20th in the country for Division III.
  • Hayden Adams earned 4th in the high jump at 1.43 meters (4-08.25), while Kaitlyn Stevens placed 5th at 1.43 meters (4-08.25).
Day Two Meet Notes Men
  • Kai Smith also earned a school record in the 60-meters with a time of 6.77, which earned him gold. His time sits seventh in the country for Division III. Smith also earned gold in the 200-meter with a time of 21.67, which sits 10th nationally.
  • The Sea Gulls posted two runners in the top five of the 400-meter run. Isaiah Rivera placed 3rd with a time of 51.31, while Samuel Bradley earned 4th with a time of 51.53.
  • Justin Freeman set a new 1000-meter school record with a time of 2:30.56 that placed him 3rd. His time sits 21st in the country for Division III.
  • Bradley and Andrew Osler posted 4th and 5th in the 200-meter with almost identical times of 22.91. Bradley earned 4th by edging out Osler 22.901 to 22.906.
  • Cormac Moroney earned 6th in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:50.36.
  • Jadon Gaines placed 6th in the high jump at 1.88 meters (6-02.00).
  • Logan Aldridge placed 4th in the shot put at 14.34 meters (47-00.75).
  • Logan Kelsch posted a personal best for 3rd place in the weight throw at 15.05 meters (49-04.50).
The Sea Gulls are back in action on Feb. 7th with select athletes either traveling to the Big Apple Invitational or the Frank Colden Invitational.
