Football tallies eight on CSC Academic All-District Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Eight members of the Salisbury University football team were selected to the 2025 Division III Football College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday. Micah Brubaker, Clarke Cheairs, Mason Fisher, Brian Irving, Chase Lomax, Kilo Mack, Luke Orner, and Patrick Sheil earned the honors for the Sea Gulls. 

The CSC (formerly CoSIDA) recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes are eligible for this award by maintaining a 3.50 grade point average or better while playing in 90% of the program's matches or starting 66% of matches played. This award is nominated and voted upon by members of CSC. 

Brubaker, the senior from Mechanicsburg, Pa., posted a 3.97 GPA in accounting while posting 505 yards receiving on 21 catches and five touchdowns. Cheairs, the senior from Myersville, Md., posted a 3.93 GPA in finance while playing in all 12 games for the Sea Gulls. 

Fisher, the junior from Westminster, Md., earned a 3.55 GPA in Physics while posting 678 total yards and six total touchdowns between the air and ground. Irving, the senior from Owings, Md., earned a 3.57 GPA in accounting while starting all 12 games on the front line for SU.

Lomax, the senior from Washington Twp, N.J., posted a 3.63 GPA in business management while posting 45 tackles and 5 and a half tackles for loss. Mack, the senior from Belcamp, Md., earned a 3.71 GPA in finance while posting 66 tackles and 13 pass breakups. 

Orner, the senior from Reisterstown, Md., tallied a 3.93 GPA in marketing while seeing action in almost every game for Salisbury this season. Sheil, the junior from Fairfax Station, Va., earned a 4.00 in chemistry while posting 64 tackles, four interceptions, and eight pass breakups in 12 games. 

The Sea Gulls finished the 2025 season 10-2 with back-to-back NCAA Tournament and Third Round appearances. 

Salisbury University is a proud member of NCAA Division III with primary membership in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference, along with affiliate membership in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (football, men's & women's swimming), Coastal Lacrosse Conference (men's lacrosse), State University of New York Athletic Conference (field hockey), and Colonial Women's Golf Conference (women's golf).
