SALISBURY, Md. – The 24th-ranked Salisbury University men's soccer team used five first-half tallies to breeze by the Regent University Royals in Saturday afternoon's contest inside the Gerry DiBartolo Sea Gull Soccer Complex.

The Sea Gulls (12-1-3) got the scoring started courtesy of David Brunetti, who drew a foul in the box and converted the ensuing penalty kick to break the ice. Noah Blankensop went and doubled the lead seven minutes later by ripping a right-footed shot off the crossbar and into the onion bag.

The offensive explosion continued in the 33rd minute after Jake Trama completed a tic-tac-toe goal that was initiated by Kai Lindsay and Brayden Dull. Trama dished off for Cooper Santos in the 39th minute to add another marker, then Santos fired in a second score with George Ogilvie and Trama setting him up minutes before the end of the half.

Salisbury would outshoot the Royals (0-13-1) 8-2 in the second frame and secured a ninth shutout on the campaign.
