Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Andrew Barbieri

Kinzeler records career day; Women’s Soccer falls in regular-season finale at CNU

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's soccer team surrendered two opening half tallies on Saturday afternoon in a 3-0 loss to the Christopher Newport University Captains at Captains Field.

The Sea Gulls (6-11-1) generated the first chance on frame of the contest courtesy of a shot by Brooke Spadin that was saved by Amy Sidaway in the 14th minute. Riley Kinzeler made a trio of denials on the other end of the pitch before the Captains (10-2-3) struck in the 29th and 39th minutes.

Kinzeler stood tall in the second half by making seven saves, but the Captains padded their lead with an 81st-minute strike, cementing the 3-0 result.
