READING, Pa. – The Salisbury women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 contest on Wednesday evening to Penn St. Berks in a road battle at the Artificial Turf Athletic Field.
The Nittany Lions (6-5-2) connected in the 20th minute while
Samantha Root fired a pair of shots on target for the Sea Gulls (2-9-1) that were denied by Berks' Riley Fisher. Salisbury led 8-5 in shots during the first frame.
SU held a 6-4 edge in shots during the ladder half, and saw
Brooke Spadin and
Lauren Tolbert fire on frame, but came up empty in search of an equalizer.

The Sea Gulls take on Regent at the Gerry DiBartolo Sea Gull Soccer Complex on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
