SALISBURY, Md. – The 39th-ranked Salisbury University men's tennis team endured a narrow 4-3 defeat at the hands of the Shenandoah Hornets on Saturday afternoon at the SU Outdoor Tennis Center.
MATCH NOTES
- The Sea Gulls dropped the doubles point but saw Aron Bursztyn and Gurv Suri claim a 6-4 victory over Artem Babaiev and Neal Love in first doubles.
- SU's three points came from its three back-bench singles players. Headlining was Bobby Stabile, who rallied from a first-set defeat to best Babaiev 0-6, 6-3, 7-5.
- Bursztyn [7-6 (7-4), 6-1] took care of business in fifth singles, while Chase Catullo (6-4, 6-2) did the same in sixth singles.
The Sea Gulls return to the courts on Sunday afternoon against Albright, with first serve outdoors slated for 12:30 p.m.
