No. 39 Men’s Tennis bounces back, downs Albright 6-1

SALISBURY, Md. – The 39th-ranked Salisbury University men's tennis team returned to its winning ways with an easy 6-1 victory over the Albright Lions on Sunday afternoon at the SU Outdoor Tennis Center.
 
MATCH NOTES
  • The Sea Gulls secured the doubles point by taking the top two fixtures. Gurv Suri and Aron Bursztyn muscled their way to a 6-4 win in first doubles, while Nicholas O'Dea and Bobby Stabile handled seconds doubles by a 6-3 margin.
  • Suri faced a stiff challenge from Albright's Renato Orsi in first singles before digging deep for a 6-1, 3-6, 6-0 victory.
  • O'Dea (6-2, 6-0) and Maas Jacobs (6-2, 6-2) made quick work of second and third singles, respectively.
  • Stabile flexed his muscle for a 7-5, 6-0 dub in fourth singles, while Chase Catullo (7-5, 7-5) outlasted Leo Russo Gispert in sixth singles.
 
The Sea Gulls now prepare for three matches in three days next weekend, starting on Friday afternoon against Methodist. First serve from the SU Tennis Center is set for 2 p.m.
