Women’s Tennis rolls through Albright, 6-1, for third straight win

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team won its third straight match in convincing fashion, powering through the Albright Lions 6-1 on Sunday afternoon at the SU Outdoor Tennis Center.
 
MATCH NOTES
  • The Sea Gulls grabbed the early lead by taking two-of-three in doubles. Gibelle Beaujon and Cleo Solomon dominated first doubles to the tune of a 6-0 win, while Olivia Hall and Evelyn Whiteside secured the point with a 6-4 triumph in second doubles.
  • Beaujon (6-0, 6-2), Solomon (6-2, 6-4), and Hall (6-1, 6-2) set the tone at the top of the singles lineup, winning the top three fixtures in straight sets to clinch an early team dub.
  • Leah Osmon (6-4, 6-2) also won in straight sets at fifth singles, while Whiteside (3-6, 6-2, 10-3) took a gritty dub in fourth singles.
 
The Sea Gulls will host a pair of matches next weekend, opening up against Methodist on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m.
