SPARKS, Md. – After a stellar performance on Saturday,
Blake Malamphy of the fifth-ranked Salisbury University men's lacrosse program was honored as the National Division Three Player of the Week by the USA Lacrosse Magazine, as announced by the outlet on Tuesday morning.
Malamphy, a senior from Annapolis, Md., went 17-of-20 (85 percent) from the dot against the sixth-ranked York (Pa.) Spartans and a blistering 8-of-9 (88.9 percent) during the second half.
The face-off specialist also had a career-high two assists and 11 ground balls in a performance that elevated his face-off percentage to 70.8 percent on the campaign.
