SPARKS, Md. – To complete a sweep of conference and national weekly awards,
Blake Malamphy of the fifth-ranked Salisbury University men's lacrosse program was placed on the USILA DIII Team of the Week,
as announced by the outlet on Wednesday morning.
Malamphy, a senior from Annapolis, Md., went 17-of-20 (85 percent) from the dot against the sixth-ranked York (Pa.) Spartans and a blistering 8-of-9 (88.9 percent) during the second half.
The face-off specialist also had a career-high two assists and 11 ground balls in a performance that elevated his face-off percentage to 70.8 percent on the campaign.
Malamphy earned his second national weekly recognition of the week and second Coastal Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week award in his career.
The Sea Gulls return to action on Wednesday against Ohio Northern at 6:00 p.m. inside Sea Gull Stadium.
