No. 4 Women’s Lacrosse cruises past No. 12 Franklin and Marshall

SALISBURY, Md. – The fourth-ranked Salisbury University women's lacrosse team jumped out to a 12-1 lead at the half to outmuscle the 12th-ranked Franklin and Marshall College Diplomats 14-4 in Friday afternoon's action inside Sea Gull Stadium.

The Sea Gulls (9-0) buried five of the first six goals in the contest. Grace Milliron, Lauren Hackett, Audrey Harrington and two tallies from Julianna Ott put the hosts up comfortably after the first frame.

A 7-0 run commenced in the second stanza in favor of the Maroon and Gold. Ott found twine three more times, Avery Dunbar potted two goals and Miranda Mears and Regan McDonnell

The Gulls added on two scores from Milliron and Leah Doy to secure a double-digit victory.

GAME NOTES
  • Julianna Ott put together a second consecutive four-point outing with four goals and controlled five draws.
  • Grace Milliron recorded her second hat-trick in three games.
  • Maddyn McAnaney and Regan McDonnell caused two turnovers each. Sydney Block and McDonnell led the team with ground balls each.
  • Paige Ellis earned the win and made three saves. Jaclyn Bange made a career-high six denials in relief.
  • The Sea Gulls outshot the Herons 35-18, won the ground ball battle 15-10 and went 20-of-22 on clearing attempts.
The Sea Gulls return to action when they host the 23rd-ranked Williams College Ephs inside Sea Gull Stadium.
