FOREST GROVE, Ore. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team completed a perfect 4-0 week in Washington state and Oregon and extended its winning streak to nine matches overall with a 6-1 knockout of the Pacific University Boxers on Friday afternoon at the Holce Tennis Courts.
MATCH NOTES
- The Sea Gulls captured the doubles point after sterling performances from Gibelle Beaujon and Cleo Solomon (6-4) in first doubles and Olivia Hall and Evelyn Whiteside (6-1) in second doubles. Pacific didn't have enough players to field a third doubles team.
- At the top of the singles lineup, Beaujon (6-3, 7-5) and Solomon (6-3, 6-2) each cruised to victory in the first and second singles matchups.
- Ridgley Lake (6-0, 6-4) faced little trouble in fourth singles, and Whiteside (6-2, 6-1) powered her way to a fifth singles dub. The Boxers did not have a player to compete in sixth singles.
The Sea Gulls will return across the country and play their final home match of the regular season on Wednesday against Williams. First serve from the SU Tennis Courts is pegged for 3 p.m.
