LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The
National Fastpitch Coaches Association has named Salisbury University softball student-athlete
Audrey March National Player of the Week this afternoon.
March, the freshman from Bel Air, Md., swung a scorching-hot bat for the Sea Gulls in a doubleheader sweep over Stevenson and Mary Washington, slashing .700/.750/2.000 while racking up four home runs, one double, five runs, and 11 RBIs over four games. She homered twice in the first game of each twin bill, driving in all 11 of her runs at the top of the daily slate. March is tied with two others for third in the C2C with seven dingers on the year. She also added the team's first Coast-to-Coast Player of the Week honors of the year today.
The Sea Gulls are back inside Margie Knight Stadium tomorrow to take on No. 1 Virginia Wesleyan University, with game one of the doubleheader starting at 2:30 p.m. from Margie Knight Sea Gull Softball Stadium.
