FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Playing for the first time in 20 days, the Salisbury University women's tennis team couldn't get over the hump in a 7-0 loss to the 25th-ranked Mary Washington Eagles on Wednesday afternoon at the Hegmann Family Courts.
MATCH NOTES
- The Eagles took the doubles point by winning all three tilts. Ridgley Lake and Olivia Hall faired best in third doubles, pushing it to 6-4.
- Cleo Solomon, Hall, and Leah Osmon each posted solid first sets in second, third, and fifth singles, respectively, before ultimately bowing by identical 6-3, 6-1 margins.
The Sea Gulls will head back to Virginia for a pair of weekend fixtures, the first against No. 39 Christopher Newport on Saturday at 3 p.m.
