FAIRFAX, Va. - The Salisbury University track & field program battled multiple Division I, Division II, and Division III programs during day two of the George Mason Dalton Ebanks Invitational, which included three more school records on the day.
Women Meet Notes
- The 4x100 relay team of Karia Forvil, Marlyse Haack, Lilly Williams, and Jenna Howe posted a school record time of 47.46, which placed them 8th in the nation for Division III.
- Haack went on to post another school record herself in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.10 and ranked 14th in the nation. Haack also earned 12th in the triple jump at 11.51 meters (37-09.25), placing her 6th in the nation. Emma Christman tallied 27th in the triple jump at 10.64 meters (34-11.00).
- Howe went on to earn a personal best in the 400-meter at 58.23, which earned her 25th and 51st in the nation. Peri Nelson also tallied a personal record with a time of 1:02.23.
- Anna Bodmer earned 21st in the 1500-meter run with a PR time of 4:42.69. Camryn Russum and Madi Sisson also recorded personal bests. Russum placed 61st at 5:00.59, and Sisson placed 62nd at 5:01.64.
- Kailey Jarboe earned 27th in the discus at 30.45 meters (99-11)
Men Meet Notes
- Kai Smith continued his dominant weekend, posting his second school record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.37, which placed him No. 1 in the nation at the time.
- The Sea Gulls posted three runners in the top three of the 400-meter. Isaiah Rivera tallied 16th at 48.91, which earned him 42nd in the nation. Andrew Osler earned 18th with a time of 49.03, placing him 51st in the country, and Samuel Bradley earned 24th with a time of 49.35, placing him 74th in the nation.
- Logan Kelsch tallied 3rd in the discus at 48.98 meters (160-08). Mason Breeze earned 15th at 41.93 meters (137-06).
- Gavin Shaffer earned 7th in the 110-meter hurdles at 14.41, placing him 4th in the nation with that personal record time. Jair Clinton earned 16th with a PR time of 15.41.
- Logan Aldridge tallied 4th in the shot put at 14.95 meters (49-00.75). Xavion Fidele placed 12th at 13.87 meters (45-06.25).
- The 4x400 relay team of Osler, Hayden Myers, Rivera, and Bradley tallied 9th with a time of 3:20.57, placing them 31st in the nation.
- Cormac Moroney tallied 8th in the 1500-meter with a time of 3:53.36, which was a PR and placed him 21st in the country. Justin Freeman earned 17th with a PR time of 3:57.26.
- Jon Alicea tallied 7th in the triple jump at 13.55 meters (44-05.50).
- Ryan Gorman also earned 7th but in the high jump at 1.80 meters (5-10.75).
The Sea Gulls return home for the Salisbury University Eastern Shore Challenge on April 18th, beginning at 11 a.m. This will serve as the program's Senior and Alumni Day.
