SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University track & field programs sent select athletes to compete in the Widener Final Qualifier from Chester, Pa., against Division I, II, and III programs, with two program records falling from
Mia Hill in the long jump and
Anna Bodmer in the 5000-meters.
Women Meet Notes
- Hill tallied the school record in the long jump at 5.92 meters (19-05.25), earning 1st place, breaking her own previous record. This jump placed her 4th in the nation for Division III. This also posted a new Coast-to-Coast Conference record.
- Bodmer placed 4th in the 5000-meter, boasting a school and C2C record time of 16:41.77, which placed her 26th nationally in Division III.
- Peri Nelson tallied 38th in the 800-meter run out of 63 runners with a time of 2:20.48.
- Out of 25 runners in the 100-meters, Karia Forvil missed the qualifying cut for finals by .01. Forvil finished 9th with a time of 12.64, while Aubrey Jackson-Bowen tallied 12th with a time of 12.87.
- Marlyse Haack placed 5th in the triple jump at 11.25 meters (36-11.00), while Emma Christman earned 9th at 10.20 meters (33-05.75).
Men Meet Notes
- Hayden Myers tallied 10th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.08.
- Naasir Sellers tallied 6th in the long jump at 6.38 meters (20-11.25).
- Andrew Osler earned 9th in the 200-meter with a time of 21.70.
- Justin Freeman placed 36th out of 99 runners in the 800-meter with a time of 1:54.16.
- Jon Alicea tallied 7th in the triple jump at 13.83 meters (45-04.50).
- Jadon Gaines took home 6th in the high jump at 1.95 meters (6-04.75).
- Cormac Moroney placed 39th out of 72 runners in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:58.20.
- Tristan Dutton earned 9th in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:22.96.
- Landon Lewicki tallied 55th out of 100 runners in the 5000-meter run with a time of 15:17.78, capping his Sea Gulls career off with a personal best.
NCAA final qualifiers will be announced on Friday night, May 15th. The NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships will be held in La Crosse, Wis., from May 21st-23rd.
