Kai Smith of the Salisbury University Track & Field program earned a spot in the 100-meter finals on day two of the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex, hosted by The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Smith tallied a time of 10.37 in the 100-meter prelims, earning his spot in the finals on Saturday at 3:40 p.m. with the No. 2 seed. His time of 10.37 was just .2 seconds off of his own school record.
Smith will be back in action tomorrow for the finals for the 100 and 200 meters at 3:40 and 4:30 p.m. EST. He sits as the No. 1 seed in the 200 meters and the No. 2 seed in the 100 meters.
