No. 2 Women’s Lacrosse to host first and second rounds of NCAA Tournament

SALISBURY, Md. – The second-ranked Salisbury University women's lacrosse team advanced to its 23rd consecutive and 26th overall NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament, announced by the NCAA on Monday morning.

The Sea Gulls will host the first and second rounds of the bracket beginning on Saturday, May 9th, with a matchup between 27th-ranked (NPI) Union and 44th-ranked Mount Union at 11:30 a.m. Salisbury will face the winner of the first-round bout in Sunday's second round, set to begin at 1 p.m. inside Sea Gull Stadium.

Salisbury enters the 2026 DIII Women's Lacrosse Championship fresh off an 11-9 dub over No. 21 CNU in the Coast-to-Coast Conference Championship on Saturday. The Sea Gulls stand 17-0 and are one of two remaining undefeated teams in Division III women's lacrosse. 

Union comes down to the Eastern Shore carrying a 13-6 record and a 9-1 mark in Liberty League Play. The Garnet Chargers will make their first showing in the big dance since 2015 after earning one of the final three at-large bids.

Mount Union took down Baldwin Wallace, 11-10, in the Ohio Athletic Conference final on Saturday to secure its ninth appearance in program history. The Purple Raiders come into the tournament touting a seven-game winning streak. 

Fans can rent a Sea Gull Stadium suite to be used for all NCAA men's and women's lacrosse games in 2026 for $1,500, with tickets sold separately. Single-game purchases for the men's tournament are also available for $650, while suites for individual women's tournament matchups can be purchased for $350. A two-game Sunday package is also available for the men's and women's contests that day for $900.

The 2026 NCAA Division III Semifinals are set for Friday, May 23rd and the championship is set for Sunday, May 25th at 12 p.m., both inside Judson Stadium in Rochester, NY.
