Softball earns three major C2C awards; six total All-C2C honors

SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University softball program tallied three major Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference awards along with six total All-C2C selections as announced by the conference this morning.

Karlie Wolfe was named the C2C Player of the Year, Isabella Purdy was named the C2C Pitcher of the Year, and Audrey March was named the C2C Rookie of the Year. All three were also named All-C2C First Team, along with Sam Flowers and Alayna Gigliotti. Courtney Johnson rounded out the Sea Gull honors on the Honorable Mention team.

Wolfe, the senior from Chaptico, Md., finished her breakout regular season leading the C2C in home runs (16) and RBIs (50) while ranking second in batting average (.454). Wolfe is fresh off earning NFCA National Player of the Week and C2C Player of the Week. She finished the year with 54 hits, 16 doubles, and a .992 slugging percentage.

Purdy, the senior from Havertown, Pa., tallied her most appearances and wins as a Sea Gull in the circle this year. Purdy finished with a 10-5 record during 26 appearances, a 2.62 ERA, and 35 strikeouts during just over 82 innings of work.

March, the freshman from Bel Air, Md., took the C2C by storm in her rookie campaign, posting two C2C Player of the Week honors and one NFCA National Player of the Week honor. She posted a .404 batting average, with 42 hits, 40 RBIs, 11 doubles, two triples, and nine home runs.

Flowers, the senior from Owings, Md., wrapped up her Sea Gull career with a career-high batting average of .419 with 44 hits and surpassed 100 career hits at SU. She added six doubles, one triple, 21 RBIs, and 15 stolen bases. Flowers lived on base, earning a .569 on-base percentage with 38 walks earned while also posting a perfect fielding percentage at 1.000.

Gigliotti, the senior from Dover, Del., posted a breakout season as the Sea Gulls' everyday shortstop. Gigliotti posted a .386 batting average with 44 hits, 23 RBIs, seven doubles, one triple, and 12 stolen bases.

Johnson, the junior from Fulton, Md., made an immediate impact for SU after transferring in and becoming the everyday third baseman. She tallied a .390 batting average with 41 hits, 22 RBIs, 11 doubles, two triples, and two home runs.

The Sea Gulls wrapped up the 2026 regular season 24-14 and have turned their attention to the 2026 Coast-to-Coast Tournament Championship, which will be held on Friday, May 8th at Captains Park on the campus of Christopher Newport University, with game one between the Sea Gulls and the University of Mary Washington set for 2 p.m. The winner will advance to the title game against CNU at 4:30 p.m.
