Men's Lacrosse receives three All-American, six All-Region nods

Malamphy becomes an unanimous All-Americans

DURHAM, N.C. – The Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) praised Salisbury University men's lacrosse's Blake Malamphy, Connor Herraiz and Riley Strub as 2026 All-Americans while six Sea Gulls were named to the All-Region 3 teams as announced by the organization this week.

Malamphy landed on the first team, and received Region 3 Offensive Player of the Year while Herraiz and Strub earned second team bids. Malamphy, Herraiz and Strub joined Jeremiah Stafford on the All-Region 3 First Team while Bryce Stevenson and Preston Huffman were named to the region's second team.

Malamphy, a senior face-off specialist from Annapolis, Md., completes the trifecta by landing on the USILA's USA Lacrosse Magazine's and IMLCA's All-American First Team. Malamphy became third Sea Gull to win the USILA Face-Off Specialst of the Year after his brother Brett '21 accomplished the feat in 2019 and 2021. Malamphy put together a monster season to wrap up his maroon and gold tenure, winning 344-of-457 face-offs for a 75.3 percent winning percentage and scoring a career-best 10 goals to go along with two assists.

Malamphy's 245 ground balls are tops across all three NCAA divisions. He also scored a career-high 10 goals to go along with two assists. Malamphy finishes his illustrious career with the sixth-most face-off wins (1,086) in Division III history. The Archbishop Spalding product recently became the third Sea Gull in the past four years to reach the pro ranks as he signed with the PLL's Maryland Whipsnakes.

Herraiz, a senior attacker from Succasunna, NJ, received second team honors from all three platforms. He quarterbacked the SU offense during the season, going for 109 points on 35 tallies and 74 dimes in 21 games played. Herraiz averaged 3.52 per game to rank fourth in the country, put together eight games with seven or more points and finished his career with 386 points.

Strub, a senior midfielder from Darien, Conn., landed on all three outlets' All-American teams. He parried an 81-point 2025 season with 77 points in 2026, netting 48 goals and dishing out a career-best 29 helpers. Agent 0 made two appearances on the USILA DIII Team of the Week throughout the campaign and put together 4.25 points per game in the postseason.

Stafford, a senior defender from Darien, Conn.,  was once again one of the country's top shutdown defenders, causing 26 turnovers and scooping up 37 ground balls. Now a three-time All-American, Stafford finishes his career with 153 ground balls and 121 caused turnovers over four years as a Sea Gull regular.

Stevenson, a senior defender from Severna Park, Md., steadied the Gulls by leading the squad in caused turnovers (37). Stevenson chased down 53 ground balls and added four goals and two assists while playing close defense.

Huffman, a senior midfielder from Hydes, Md.,  enjoyed a breakthrough season on the Salisbury front lines, depositing 30 goals and dishing out 24 dimes over 21 games. He became a star in the clutch for the Gulls, scoring the overtime winner to beat Christopher Newport in the Coastal Lacrosse Conference (CLC) title game and tickling the twine with a minute remaining to force overtime in the NCAA Third Round against RIT.
