2026 SEASON PREVIEW

Salisbury finished the 2025 season at 19-3 overall, reaching a 40th overall and 31st consecutive NCAA Tournament while making the NCAA Elite Eight as the SUNYAC Champions after the first year in the Conference. The Sea Gulls fell 1-0 against the No. 1 ranked Captains of CNU in the game to get to the Final Four last season. Salisbury earned the SUNYAC automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament last season with a 7-1 victory over SUNY Cortland in the Championship game after taking down SUNY Oneonta in the Semifinals. The Gulls then defeated Denison University 5-0 in the NCAA first round inside Sea Gull Stadium before traveling to Newport News, Va. to take down No. 11 Dickinson College 5-0 to earn the Elite Eight title. This will be the second year the Sea Gulls compete in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) as an associate member in field hockey. SU was picked as the preseason favorite in the conference, as well as being tabbed the No. 5 team in the country from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) preseason poll.
