DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Salisbury University cross country teams competed against a deep field featuring NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III programs on Saturday at the 53rd UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational.
The Sea Gulls competed in the varsity Gold races, with the Salisbury men placing 10th and the women finishing 11th. The meet featured several Division I programs, including Boston University, UMass Lowell, Bryant, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, along with a strong collection of Division II and Division III teams.The Salisbury women totaled 263 points to place 11th in the 6K Gold race. On the men's side, Salisbury finished 10th with 272 points in the 8K Gold race.
Women's Meet Notes

Anna Bodmer led the way for the Sea Gulls, placing 18th overall with a time of 22:10.8.

Brynn Crandell followed closely behind in 20th at 22:11.9, giving Salisbury two runners inside the top 20.

Callie Webb finished 57th in 23:03.5, followed by
Olivia Baker in 76th at 23:31.0 and
Miranda Bournique in 97th at 24:09.8.
Men's Meet Notes

Gabe Riling paced the Sea Gulls with a 23rd-place finish in 25:18.0, placing him inside the top 25 in a field that included several Division I programs and some of the region's strongest Division II and III teams.

Ryan Moody finished 54th overall in 25:59.4, followed by
Seth Barron in 65th at 26:13.7,
Peyton Dill in 70th at 26:19.0 and
Bradley Helman in 74th at 26:21.6 to round out Salisbury's scoring five.

Justin Friscia also competed for the Sea Gulls, finishing 93rd in 26:38.7.
The Sea Gulls will return to action on home turf for the Don Cathcart Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 3rd at 2:30 p.m. which will serve as Senior and Alumni day.
