BALTIMORE - The United States Intercollegiate
Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced its 2007 All-American team
and Salisbury University was honored with a school-record tying 11
total All-Americans.
The Sea Gulls placed six on the first-team, one on each the
second and third-team and three honorable mention All-Americans.
Salisbury's starting attack line all earned All-American honors
led by senior Eric Bishop who garnered a spot on
the first-team. Bishop finished the year with a team-high 102
points on 67 goals and 35 assists.
Junior Matt Hickman, who was named Most
Outstanding Player of the national championship game, earned a spot
on the second-team while junior Greg Titus was
named an honorable-mention All-American.
Hickman and Titus finished the year with 75 and 76 goals each,
respectively.
At the midfield, senior Matt Dasinger and
sophomore Kylor Berkman joined senior long stick
midfielder Chase Caruso and senior short stick
specialist Luis Gonzalez as first-team members.
Dasinger scored 43 goals on the year while Berkman totaled a
team-high 44 assists.
Caruso and Gonzalez combined for 66 caused turnovers and 73
ground balls.
Junior Brett Yoder, who scored 15 goals and
added 38 assists, was named an honorable-mention All-American.
Senior Chris Heier, a three-time All-American,
was named to the first-team on defense for the second straight year
while fellow senior Kyle Hartzell earned a spot on
the third-team.
Heier finished with 46 ground balls and 34 caused turnovers
while Hartzell finished with 83 ground balls and a team-high 42
caused turnovers.
Senior Max Zarchin rounded out the Gulls on the
All-American team as he was named honorable-mention in the goal.
Zarchin finished the '07 campaign with 134 saves.
