defender Erin Mooney (Solomons,
Md.) scored the first two goals of her collegiate
career Tuesday evening, leading the Salisbury University women's
soccer team to a 3-1 win at Marymount University.
Mooney scored the first goal of the match, an unassisted tally,
in the 44th minute to give the Sea Gulls (7-3-2, 4-1
Capital Athletic Conference) a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Marymount (0-12, 0-5 CAC) got the equalizer in the

Salisbury senior forward Christina Eury
(Germantown, Md.) put home the go-ahead goal, her
third game-winner of the season, just five minutes later, off an
assist from senior defender Hillary Grove
(Hagerstown, Md.). The assist extended Grove's streak
of games with at least one point to four.
Mooney added her second goal of the night, an unassisted score,
in the 73rd minute to give the Gulls an insurance goal.

22-4, putting 12 of their shots on target, and coming up with 11
corner kick opportunities while Marymount did not have one.
The Salisbury defensive unit kept freshman goalkeeper Melissa Orgera
(Arnold, Md.) comfortable, forcing her to make just
two saves to collect her sixth win of the season.
The Sea Gulls will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 17, when
they host Hood College. The game is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
