Salisbury University women's lacrosse team won 23-13 over Roanoke
College at Donald J. Kerr Stadium on the road Saturday.

games and has seven multiple-goal games this season. Freshman
Sarah Clemmens and senior Ashleigh
Gender both had two goals in the win while senior
Courtney Sorensen and junior Stephanie
Cahill added a goal apiece.
SU jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead five minutes into the contest
before Roanoke's Brooks Laufman (four goals) scored an unassisted
goal at the 25:01 mark. The teams would trade goals until four
minutes remained in the half when Rhodey buried her third goal of
the game to give SU a seven-goal advantage, 11-4. SU went into the
half up six, 12-6.
Roanoke (5-4) scored three of the first four goals to begin the
second half as the Maroons cut the Salisbury lead to just four,
13-9. Moments later SU went on a 4-0 run midway through the half on
goals by Bilderback and three from Cudmore to give the Sea Gulls a
20-11 lead. SU scored three of the final four goals to surpass the
20-goal mark for the sixth time this season.
Senior goalie Sonja Stuart (eight saves) picked
up her seventh win of the season as she played the entire game.
Roanoke goalie Kaitlyn Scarlett (six saves) suffered the loss in
net for the Maroons. Roanoke's Gina Valles led the Maroons with
