Sea Gulls drop regular season finale

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. – The Salisbury University women's soccer team lost its regular season finale on Tuesday against Eastern University in overtime. The final score was 1-0.

Eastern forward Kelsey Doutrich scored the goal in the 96th minute of the game.

The Sea Gulls racked up eight shots in the game with five of the shots being on goal, but were unable to capitalize on any of the scoring opportunities. Junior forward Sarah Jessilonis had the one Sea Gull shot in overtime just a minute into the period.  

Salisbury sophomore goalkeeper Melissa Orgera made eight saves on the day.

The Sea Gulls finished the 2010 regular season with a record of 7-11 (5-3 in the Capital Athletic Conference). They finished the year ranked fifth in the conference which means they will have to travel to fourth-ranked York (Pa.) College for their first round CAC Tournament game.

The Gulls will take on the Spartans on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
