Box Score SALISBURY, Md.- In a close, back-and-forth battle between two top-10 teams, the seventh-ranked Salisbury University women's lacrosse team dropped a 12-11 overtime decision to the sixth-ranked Gettysburg Bullets on Wednesday.

Salisbury got the scoring started quickly by scoring the game's first four goals. Delaney Hill scored an unassisted tally for the first goal of the game two minutes into the game

Less than a minute later, Lydia McNulty scored her first goal of the game to extend the lead to 2-0 with 27:50 remaining in the half.

Alexis Strobel assisted on both of Gianna DeMato's goals to push the Salisbury lead up to 4-0 in the first five and half minutes of the contest.

Gettysburg answered the Salisbury 4-0 run with a three-goal run of their own with goals coming from Ella Orzechowski, Maria Nemeth and Kerry McKeever

Salisbury stopped the Bullets run with an Emily McQuay tally off a pass from Julie Talbert to extend the lead to 5-3 with 19:08 left in the first half.

Nemeth and Orzechowski tallied their second goals of the game to tie the game at five. Nemeth's goal came off an assist from McKeever while Orzechowski's goal was off a pass from Courtney Patterson.

DeMato completed her hat-trick when she scored off a McNulty assist to allow Salisbury to take the lead back, 6-5.

Erin Scannell netted her shot with 6:39 left in the first half on an individual effort to extend the lead to two, 7-5.

The Bullets got out on another three-goal run with two goals coming from McKeever and Maddy Ruffini. McKeever's goal with five seconds left in the half gave the Bullets the 8-7 lead heading to halftime.

Salisbury opened the second half with a three-goal run to regain the lead. Emma Skoglund scored on a man-down opportunity from a DeMato assist to tie the game back at eight.

A McNulty goal and a Riley Hartman free-position score within a minute from each other would extend Salisbury lead to 10-8.

Gettysburg stopped the Salisbury run with a goal from Patterson with 19:08 remaining in the game to cut the Sea Gull lead to one.

McQuay tallied her second goal of the day on a pass from Skoglund to put the Salisbury lead back up to two, 11-9, with 12:41 left in regulation.

Gettysburg closed regulation with back-to-back unassisted goals by Barr and McKeever to send the game to overtime.

After a scoreless first half of overtime, Gettysburg found the back of the net off a Patterson goal to take the sudden-victory win.
