GETTYSBURG, Pa. - The Salisbury University men's soccer team fell to the Gettysburg Bullets, 3-1, on Wednesday night.

 HOW IT HAPPENED

• In the second minute, Gettysburg's Jonathon Molina drove a shot just outside the box that squeaked past a Salisbury defender and landed right on the foot of Conner Fife. Fife then powered a shot past Gabe Dunn to give the Bullets an early lead.
• In the 13th minute, Salisbury looked to even the score. Brady Young sent a beautiful pass on the corner kick that Alex Floyd got a head on, but the Bullet goalie was there to make the save.
• Gettysburg increased its lead two when Fife headed a ball to the back of the net in the 60th minute.
• The Sea Gull offense though would not go down without a fight. In the 70th minute, Ben Pigg dribbled around the defender and blistered a shot to the bottom left corner to trim the lead in half.
• Gettysburg picked up an insurance goal in the 82nd minute when Fife recorded his third goal of the game on a rebound to put the Bullets back up by two.

 SALISBURY GAME NOTES

• The Sea Gulls tallied 19 shots with six on goal.
• Ben Pigg scored his first collegiate goal.
• Ethan Dolezal paced the Sea Gull offense with three shots.
• Gabe Dunn collected a pair of saves in goal.
• The Sea Gulls had six corners compared to three by the Bullets.

 GETTYSBURG GAME NOTES

• The Bullets notched nine shots with five being on net.
• Kevin Muhic had five saves in net for the Bullets.
• Connor Fife registered a hat trick.
• Jonathon Molina and Connor O' Donnell each had an assist.

• Salisbury hosts Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference rival, Christopher Newport, on Saturday, Oct.  16.
